Have you seen Pixar’s Ratatouille? Did you love it so much? Yea, me too. Amongst the many lessons of the Ratatouille adventure is the following :
“No matter what the task, use good “ingredients” and a large part of the work will already be done for you.”
It was years ago when I first saw the movie but that lesson was locked away deep inside me.
A Team of Rats
This lesson has come full circle in my life as we have continued to build the Scan team. It is a near impossible task to bring about Scan’s grandeur vision of connecting the physical and digital worlds, BUT, surely and truly with the right ingredients of a team, the impossible becomes possible. The movie Ratatouille is about a rat that goes against the norm to follow his dream together with his rat family. The rats are a bunch of dirty, hungry, passionate personalities that achieve the most when they work together, just like the Scan team (especially the hungry part).
The Newest Member of the Rat Pack
I’m incredibly excited to welcome the newest member to the Scan family. Today, we welcome the 6th member of our team, Russell Ahlstrom. Welcome Russell! We’re so grateful to be working with you. I’m confident you’ll quickly find as I have that the best part of Scan is working together with the incredible individuals and talent within our small team (amongst whom I’m the least).
I’m very grateful to each and every member of the Scan family. Thank you guys. Without you I’m just a smelly lonely rat with a lofty idea.
Now let’s go get that cheese : )
ps. I couldn’t help but compare Scan to other images from Ratatouille. Enjoy ;)
The Scan Office
Always cooking up something fresh n tasty.
The Scan Investors
Wealthy hard businessmen on the outside that seek out our flaws. Children with good taste on the inside that help us build magic.
The Scan Competitors
Same tools. Similar goals. Different outcome. And thus they hate us :/
The Scan Chief Executive Rat
At the end of the day, I am one stinkin proud rat..
